Ornament gifts
Ingredients:
3 cups powdered Sugar
8 oz. non-fat dry milk
16 oz. Instant Chocolate Milk (I use Nestle's)
6 oz. Creamora (or any non-dairy creamer)
1 large box of instant chocolate pudding mix
Mix ingredients well and store in air tight container until you're ready to make the individual gift packages.
Add crushed candy cane to make it minty.
One batch made 16 ornaments (good thing because two ornament didn’t make it out of the box)
My husband taking over my project!
The finished product.
I put them all in a basket for easy travels.
I hope all the ladies enjoy them.

So I really wanted to do a project this past weekend and then I remembered I had bought 2 table cloths when I was reupholstering the dining room chairs. I only used one, so I decided to use the second one on the China Cabinet.
Here is the before.
Here is the before.
I couldn’t take the back of the cabinet off because it had big staples instead of screws,
so I cut the table cloth into 6 pieces after measuring the spaces in the cabinet.

Halloween Cake
I was home on Friday with my sick daughter and got to watch the Today Show and they did a Halloween episode. They showed you how to make this Halloween cake and I decided to make it for a Halloween Party. What do you think?

Cork Wreath
I'm very happy with the way this wreath turned out. A couple of weeks ago some friends and I went to a winery and they had the cutest wreath made out of corks and with having 2 grocery bags full of corks (thanks Mom and Avery) I thought this was great project. I took the corks and glued them to a straw wreath. I added some fall fake leaves and an orange ribbon but for Christmas I will change out the ribbon for a red or green one and add red berries or something more Christmassy.

Dining room chairs
Our dining room set was a hand-me-down from friends. The chair covers where white and had water stains. I ran across this table cloth at Bed Bath and Beyond and decided I wanted to use that to reupholster the chairs. I love how it turned out and if I had enough time and guts I would repaint the table and china cabinet white…Stay tuned to see if that ever happens.

Some improvements we have done
The house was in great shape when we moved in and I love the colors that the previous owners had painted however there was a few things I wanted to do.
First-the Chandelier in the dining room had to go.
I hate the brassy gold color, so my husband and I primed and painted it with Rust-oleum spray paint.
Picture on the left side-Previous owner, Picture on the right-what it looks like now.
Second-I added pulls and knobs. It's amazing how much a little thing like makes the kitchen look so much better. (P.S. the walls are still yellow
